Unwanted Hair

As summer starts to wind down it’s time to say goodbye to unwanted hair growth on any and all body areas including: upper lip, cheeks, chin, neck, breasts, stomach, arms, shoulders, bikini area, legs and back.

How does hair removal work?

Hair follicles are precisely targeted and destroyed using the combination of bi-polar radio frequency and light energies.

Is hair removal right for me?

Both men and women can achieve permanent hair reduction on almost all body areas. Lighter colored hair on all skin tones can be achieved, more treatments may be needed compared to darker hair colors.

When can I expect to see results?

Hair growth is reduced after each treatment. The number of treatments required will be based on your hair color and type, body area, and skin tone.

Does it hurt?

Cooling of the skin surface as well as constant measurement of the skin’s resistance ensures safety and comfort  during treatment. This is a no-downtime procedure. Many patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment.

How much does it cost?

Treatment costs vary. Schedule a personalized consultation for more details.

A solution for you….

Through the years, our faces and bodies begin to reveal the signs of aging. Although there is a wide spectrum of cosmetic solutions focused on reversing these signs, patients increasingly gravitate towards those solutions that deliver results superior to non-invasive or over-the-counter treatments, but are absent the risks associated with invasive surgery.

What is ThermiTight?

During the ThermiTight treatment, a tiny probe is used to gently heat specific tissues to a pre determined therapeutic temperature. After the procedure, a gentle wrap is applied and the patient may resume normal activities the next day.

How it works

With ThermiTight, your surgeon applies a controlled amount of thermal energy to targeted tissue. The tip of the tiny probe provides constant feedback of the actual temperature during treatment.

In addition, an infrared camera is used to monitor skin temperature to ensure that your treatment is both safe and effective.

In a survey of 73 patients, 93% of patients would recommend this procedure.

Spring Time

In the spring time there is evidence of renewal everywhere we look. The grass turns green, the trees start to bloom and leaves appear, flowers pop out of the earth after a long nap. The weather becomes warmer with each passing week. We see people out and about, especially on a sunny day, just waiting for the summer months.

Now is the time to think about getting your skin ready for spring and summer. Renew your skin with exfoliating treatments, removing all the dead, dry, dehydrated skin from the long winter months.

Weather you choose a laser treatment, peel, or microdermabrasion, any of these treatments are wonderful for the skin. These treatments promote collagen, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and change the tone and texture of your skin. Your skin will look fresh and renewed for the spring and summer months to come.

There are 5 steps to a good skin care regimen.

You need a cleanser that is made for your skin type. If you have dry skin you need a cleanser that is suited for dry skin. If you have normal skin you choose a cleanser for normal skin. If you have oily skin you use a cleanser for oily skin. To determine your skin type is easy, after cleansing in the morning if you see oil on your skin before noon you are oily, after noon you are normal, if you do not see oil until evening you are dry. Cleanse morning and evening.

If feel eye cream is a must have. I hear many say it is not necessary to use an eye cream, I strongly disagree. The skin around your eye area is extremely thin. Eye creams are designed to help strengthen the skin. They help with fine lines, wrinkles,  dark circles, and puffiness.

Moisturizers are mixtures of different ingredients specially designed to make the skin softer and more pliable. Moisturizers prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin and they improve skin’s tone and texture. If you have oily skin a moisturizer is recommended.  Use a moisturizer suited for your skin type.

Exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. Exfoliation is achieved through chemical or mechanical means.

Mechanical exfoliation is physically scrubbing the skin with abrasive scrubs. Microdermabrasion, sponges, loofa, brushes and facial scrubs.

Chemical exfoliation includes salicylic acid, glycolic acid, beta hydroxyl acid just to name a few. Exfoliation is a good thing it helps with cell turnover and collagen production. Keeps pores clean and skin radiant.

Last but not least, sun protection. This is extremely important. The sun is the number one cause of skin damage. The damaging rays breaks down collagen and elastin which in turn creates wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Make sure you apply your sunscreen every two hours, it dissipates within eighty minutes.

If you follow a good skin care regimen your skin will protect you. It is our number one line of defense!
